Stacking refers to using mobile robots to stack flat-top loads on the floor for storage or staging. The majority of stacking happens as loads are stacked for storage or when they are being staged for outbound shipping. Humans stacking loads can often cause damage to the goods or equipment, as imprecision in load placement leads of stacks being slightly offset. Efficient and Less Risky

Rocrich AGVs can make stacking both more efficient and less risky. Since our AGVs do not accidentally place loads in the wrong spot, the location of goods is never in question, so retrieval never requires sending out a search party. In general, stacking’s biggest headache is product damage. Loads are at risk when they are being moved in and out of stacks, and nearby goods can be damaged when loads are placed on top of them. Rocrich’s AGVs have tolerances of +/- 10mm, so they can be incredibly precise when placing loads.
