Modular Design

Rocla AGVs offer an innovative modular design that combines standard drive units with various load handling attachments for specific applications. The modular design allows for standardized parts across the entire product line, keeping costs lower and parts availability high.

System Architecture

Rocla’s system architecture provides software that can easily integrate with your WMS, WCS, WES or ERP. FleetController, the proprietary fleet management system, receives orders from the WMS and dispatches AGVs to execute. Via I/O it can control facility devices like doors or conveyors. Finally, the results are reported back to you through the Rocla Dashboard.

FleetController

Rocla FleetController is a single platform that connects all the components needed for efficient mobile robot operations. Integrated via a REST API, the software allows for increased transport efficiency by optimizing the use of your AGV fleet.

As orders come in, FleetController ensures they are assigned to the best AGV for the job and estimates the time for completion. All of this is recorded for analysis and forecasting.

FleetController makes dynamic, real-time decisions about which route the AGV takes. This eliminates the need for static rules which hinder efficiency and allows the maximum user of the AGV fleet. At the same time, time-wasting traffic jams are avoided because FleetController has full visibility of where each AGV will be located at a certain point. It also engages with any connected devices (like doors) required to ensure the journey is smooth and efficient.

Finally, FleetController uses smart algorithms to manage AGV charging. This both extends the life of batteries and takes advantage of downtime to charge. It does all of this with no human oversight.

Dashboard

The Rocla Dashboard (part of FleetController) provides a single place to find a real-time view of your fleet. This gives visual insight into mobile robot locations and movement, allowing you to measure and track performance targets. Its simplified view of the data is an excellent tool to look at trends, monitor status and capture operational insights.
Automatic Charging

Rocla offers either maintenance-free lead acid or Lithium-Ion batteries.

Rocla AGVs are directed by FleetController to charge their batteries as needed, with the minimum impact on production possible. There is no need for manual intervention.
