Space is always at a premium, so fitting as many pallet positions as possible within the available storage space is a massive advantage to any warehouse or manufacturing facility. However, narrow racks typically require specialized and inflexible racking solutions like ASRS (automated storage and retrieval systems) or cranes. These systems can be effective, but they suffer from a common malady: if they break down, all the goods in the racks they service are inaccessible until the device can be repaired.
Very narrow aisle (VNA) AGVs are designed to work well in aisles as narrow as 72 inches. They are far more flexible than cranes or ASRSs and can offer easy redundancy, so you’re never stuck waiting to repair a single AGV. Our trucks are capable of automated aisle changing, meaning a single truck can service multiple aisles quickly and easily. Rocrich offers two models of VNA AGV with different capabilities to better address your specific needs.
