Your Mobile Automation Team for AGV Equipment
Rocrich is your mobile automation team for AGV equipment in North America.
Who is Rocrich?
Rocrich is your mobile automation team in North America. We say team because we offer full solutions to handle your most challenging materials handling implementations. Our AGV equipment covers a wide variety of use cases, and our in-house engineers will ensure that your new system works on its go-live day and beyond, with local support provided by our service network of 560 partner locations.
The Rocrich Difference
We have the unique position being able offer the solutions of both Rocla™ and Jungheinrich™ AGVS. We have access to not only the trucks and software from these two material handling giants, but also the inside experts to ensure your unique needs are met. This means our team will help you decide the right processes to automate as well as the right solution to address your goals and needs.
What is an AGV
An AGV, or automated guided vehicle, is a robot. In the case of our AGVs, they are robots designed to carry out materials handling tasks, like transportation and storage, extremely predictably and efficiently when compared to human operators. They operate autonomously, meaning they do not require direct supervision by a human.
Benefits of AGVs
The material benefits of AGVs vary by process, but there are some universal gains that will be realized via automating workflows:
- Greater efficiency
- Greater predictability
- Greater reliability
- Less product and equipment damage
- Increased safety

Stackers
Stacker AGVs are designed to transport and store palletized goods, making them ideal for warehouse or manufacturing automation solutions. In terms of transport, stackers excel at long, horizontal trips, especially repetitive trips. They are, of course, excellent for stacking, but they can also handle racking applications, depending on the rack and load types. In general, stackers can handle a wide variety of loads.

VNA (very narrow aisle) trucks
Space is always at a premium, so fitting as many pallet positions as possible within the available storage space is a massive advantage to any warehouse or manufacturing facility. Very narrow aisle (VNA) AGVs are designed to work well in aisles as narrow as 72 inches. They can offer easy redundancy, so you’re never stuck waiting to repair a single AGV. Our trucks are capable of automated aisle changing, meaning a single truck can service multiple aisles quickly and easily. Rocrich offers two models of VNA AGV with different capabilities to better address your specific needs.

Clamp Trucks

Clamp trucks are designed to handle round loads like paper reels or tires, or large, heavy loads like appliances or plywood bundles—they are extremely versatile in what they can be configured to do. Clamp trucks are commonly used in warehousing automation solutions, where they handle bulky items without the need for manual intervention.

Reach Truck
A reach truck AGV is a truck that has a moving mast which allows the truck to extend its “reach” beyond its stabilizing legs. The Rocla ARTmf can operate in aisles as narrow as 10 feet (clear from load to load) and it interacts with multiple types of racking, as well as handle use cases like point-to-point, pick and place from conveyor and stacking. The combination of a narrower aisle capacity and large list of applications make the ARTmf extremely versatile.

Transport Trucks
Transport AGVs are designed to move pallet loads from one place to another. Rocrich offers several autonomous mobile robots that can handle transportation duty as well as other jobs, so the model called for may be influenced by the other things it will need to do.

Conveyor Trucks
The Rocrich AWTxx conveyor AGV is typically configured to solve niche problems with conveyors; it has a massive number of options available to overcome specific challenges. For instance, it can be equipped with a stabilizing arm to handle unwrapped or unstable loads (like bags of dog food, bottles or magazine inserts). It can be equipped to handle goods stacked on a slip sheet. It can be equipped to handle double loads. There are too many options to list here.
